When I first became a Christian I recall the pastor speaking on occasions of Jewish people. It seemed to me he worked on healing prejudices which people hold.. He did so by teaching about Jesus and His love for all and in a subtle way dealt with many prejudices we come in with. I realized much later he was breaking down walls, helping people to love all men and he had a heart for Jewish people.
Many people hold prejudice towards Jews and for many there's no particular reason; but is very common. I believe part is due to what generations pass down in part, but also because they are the apple of God's eye, and there's a spiritual source unseen as well as to the prejudice.
I recall the pastor saying we here at Hope church are Jewish, Catholic, Baptists, Protestant etc, but we are all here because we believe In Jesus. (was a non denom church) He always was careful to include all and yet he worked to break barriers, to break thru and help us thru messages given to help heal. It was like a hospital that church, the wounded, hurting, suffering, etc., would come in and be refreshed and encouraged, edified, fed; and Christ central to all.
The Jewish people are Jesus’ brothers, and they are very dear to Jesus though of course all people are, but He longs for them with a longing I've seen in a dream, a deep desire, like a pain almost that His own have yet to receive Him (in part.) We also know of Gods longing for the Jews very much so from the old and new testament. Jesus put this love in me for Jewiss people as well, very early on. Jews for Jesus came often and I learned from the skits and songs they did.
I listen to messianic music, well it's been a year of silence but have now put some songs on, is only type of music I listen to, and is by either Jews or gentiles who are believers in Christ, with a Jewish flavor, and much in the word.
This is where most my music is from, the Israeli station. Owner is a volunteer policeman part time, he's Jewish, a believer. His wife, an unbeliever works so he can do this ministry which is out of his home.
You can not witness in Israel, is against the law. And he could not get to church as no car so rarely was able to go, and church is not nearby. Cars, junky ones very expensive there, but he did get one last time I was listening. We definitely have different beliefs as to some things, but doesn't matter; Christ is our Lord and God.

I can no longer handle traditional music in church or I mean I love the songs but would no longer seek out such a church as now I got used to another. It has to be contemporary music and fairly close to hard rock but not quite. Keyboard, drums and guitar and any instrument they can get in there and no organ and I'm in heaven. I don't have a church here, so the net is a gift from God, and I pray we have it in heaven, :) though doubt it, as we'll have no need, but, will be an adjustment...just kidding
These songs, messianic are totally different, and so while to those who are like me, unable to handle traditional though we love it, and is good to listen to, may be hard to listen to messianic as is totally not rock in the least. Some are but so light, it's nothing. So, is a whole different thing messianic. But I can't listen to any other music. Can't listen to contemporary music on the net, has to be messianic, it's so ingrained, been many years.
If I were ever in the mood to listen to music in the car I like alternative music. I haven't heard it for years, so don't know how that's changed if has or what's new as to all kinds of music.
These are recorded, so at the end or start or end of some songs, may be the ending of another or beginning of another song or the radio station for a few seconds, so, I hope it doesn't startle anyone, as I know it startles me.
Deliverance which is one brings me to tears as to the Exodus, and then the ending 'passing over' Passover, Blood shed for those and those who had the blood on the doorposts of their houses, the Jews and when the death angel came because of the blood, the death angel passed over them and they were safe, hence the Passover, and while much brings me to tears in this song what touches me most is that thru the Hebrews and Gods mighty work, is our Savior Jesus, and because of His blood covering our hearts, our being, we too will be passed over and will not die, as we are covered by the blood. Another reason this song means so much to me is when the song says Let my people go, is like God saying to satan today, Let my people go (the Christians) as we have strongholds in our life so to me this song is full of many things on many different levels. And in the song as pertains to the Jews the depth of the meaning of letting His people go in Exodus and it's just so moving. Exodus 5-12
Ruth is about a 7 minute song goes thru the book and is awesome to hear a whole book in a song fairly much, to be taught thru music is what I like best and reminds of God's care and provision for His people, and through this story, again is the lineage of our Savior Jesus. This book is about redemption. We are redeemed by God by Jesus though song stays in the old testament.
Watchman I like this a lot because oh, how God cares for His people and Israel, as God has set watchman on the walls of Jerusalem and are there to this day, (per Isaiah 62) and He will one day make Israel the praise of the earth, but it's so much more than these words. And note, song and scripture says give God no rest (in other words pray) so that this will come. Prayer is vital though we don't know how, but is vital. Wish I understood such.
